It’s More Fun in CAFA

“You’ve entered a very interesting time for cinema, because it’s currently undergoing a radical change.”

I’ve never felt more inspired than when our academic program head (or is he?) uttered these words during our orientation last Thursday. Good thing I attended the orientation which I originally planned of escaping.

Bias aside, cinema really did sound the most interesting Fine Arts program. We even heard some students planning to shift, especially when it was announced that cinema students are expected to have lots of film showing starting tomorrow. *Grins

But honestly, I prefer our current number (we are only around 20) because bonds  are tighter. It’s also better to have classmates who are really driven to do good in their studies, than some who take up cinema just for film showing and stuff. Such students are pain in the ass and they are usually fond of shifting.

Did I mention how ecstatic I was after seeing a comfy lounge in our library? It’s like a huge bed, just a bit hard though.

One time, there was even a dancing flash mob or whatever is that called. Apparently it was for promoting C-crew, CAFA’s official dance troupe. I even saw my cousin Jehanne joining the fun.

This was shortly after the dance ended where students were still crowded around C-crew.

I’m usually early for my classes, this one particularly for NSTP. Such tranquility around 7am, few students, good weather.

A project of architecture students, particularly landscape.

It’s amazing how detailed this work was.

And finally! I got my ID yesterday. We lined for almost 2 hours, but seeing my ID in my hand is worth the wait. We’re almost doomed when we were told to line up again the next few days (AGAIN!) to claim our IDs because the printer needs cleaning. Good thing the printer, after few check-ups, worked! We exhaled in relief.

Uh-oh, I never get my ID picture right but this one’s better than my HS ID. The polo was too big (look at those collars), and I should’ve let some of my hair placed infront. I looked old but I’m getting better at smiling in pictures, or so I think.

Over all, I really feel at home with CAFA. There’s nothing better than belonging to an environment where fellow students are driven by their passions. It’s really different when creativity abounds the place, unlike the boring plain old routinely high school. But I still credit my HS Alma Mater for my upbringing because I think USJR is best among high schools.

But right now, I’m looking forward to my four years in USC-CAFA :)

Claire: Post this and we’ll never graduate.
I thought that was quite an exaggeration but I gave in anyway. But now that we’re on our way to college, tadaaaa!
Here’s the story behind this photo. Read on if you’re interested.
It was our educational trip. We were set out for fun after the seems-like-forever travel to our sister campus. With those nonsense talks and laughs, we unknowingly went straight inside a comfort room.
Lo and behold! We were greeted with male urinary devices (Hell! What are those called anyway?). And we were like, “Unisex CR in a school campus?”
We’re so D U M B. We even urinated like we owned the whole place, hahahaha. We were having the time of our lives when two boys went inside, and they were as puzzled as we were. MORE puzzled.
By the time we decided to get out, that was when we saw the huge male sign on the door :O
Why didn’t we see that before?? I’m an exception because I didn’t have my prescription glasses that time. But my friends?
Duh-uh, who cares. But really, why didn’t we see that huge of a sign? Too much fun with friends I guess :)
